Description

The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, Saskatchewan Marshals Service (SMS)is seeking individuals interested in a career as a Saskatchewan Marshal.

The SMS will provide enhanced law enforcement presence across Saskatchewan, supporting and assisting the RCMP, First Nations Police, municipal police services and the Provincial Protective Services. The SMS will also conduct investigations and execute warrants, as well as provide specialized or emergency services to law enforcement.

To qualify for this position, you will be required to show proof of the following consistent with the Police Act 1990 and its regulations:  

- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Be a graduate of a recruit training course recognized by the Saskatchewan Police Commission and have been employed as a member of a police service within Canada within 3 years of the application;
- Successfully completed a Grade 12 education or equivalent;
- Successfully pass a job-related physical test administered by the Saskatchewan Marshals Service;
- Enhanced security screening process and obtain and maintain security clearance as a condition of employment;
- Background checks including a review of previous law enforcement service history and disciplinary history will be required;
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator license and provide a drivers abstract obtained within the previous three months which demonstrates a safe and responsible driving record;
- Standard First-Aid Certificate and a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Basic Life Support, Level C Certificate within the previous two years; and more!
