Avena Foods is a specialty miller that partners with farmers and customers to bring safe, sustainable, nutritious oat and pulse ingredients to consumers around the globe which are non-GMO and gluten-free.  We have three facilities: Regina, SK, Rowatt, SK and Portage la Prairie, MB.

Avena Foods is actively seeking an Operator to join our team for a 6-week term at our Rowatt, SK plant.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for packaging our pulse products efficiently and accurately, ensuring that all items meet quality standards and are prepared for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Accurately package Pulse Products for shipment, ensuring that all items are securely packed and meet quality specifications.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory tasks, including counting and tracking stock levels.
-Handle shipments by preparing and verifying documentation, and ensuring all items are properly processed.
-Inspect products and packaging for defects or inconsistencies, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
-Use packaging machinery and other equipment effectively and safely.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of supplies.
-Work with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma is preferred

Other Requirements
Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift 22kg (50lbs)

Valid Driver's License and access to personal vehicle are mandatory
*This is a shift position which may include evenings and weekends.  You may be required to work in ambient temperatures.  This position may require manual effort such as climbing ladders/stairs etc.
