ABOUT QBQW CFS INC.:We are a growing Indigenous community-based organization, serving five southern and northern Indigenous communities of children, youth, families & Elders. Our Vision is to build communities of strong, healthy, successful Indigenous people and families connected to each other and to their roots by fostering their health & well-being through culturally relevant services, support, and advocacy.
POSITION SUMMARY:The Prevention Worker will work as a member of the multidisciplinary prevention team. Their role will be to aid in the implementation of the integrated strategy across primary, secondary and tertiary settings within the QBOW Child and Family Services Inc. service area. The Prevention Worker will be expected to support the Prevention department within the community served ensuring the successful delivery of prevention programming. They will take part in local prevention events as well as oversee event operations. The Prevention Worker will provide a representative link to the prevention services between primary, secondary care and tertiary services. Further, they will work with other program staff to promote the service as well as support proper referral pathways for the client group.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work/Social Work or Human Justice
5 Years experience working with Indigenous Families in crisis with demonstrated facilitation experience
Submission of current CPIC & Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid Class 5 License
