Description

Join us as a Technician, Service, Warranty and Research and Development

The Service Technician will apply theory and principles of mechanical engineering to modify, develop, test, or calibrate machinery and equipment. Our Service Technician will communicate closely with the Engineering/Warranty/Quality Departments for inputs as needed for product testing, to meet the demands of providing in field service to our customers and supporting internal initiatives for supporting quality claims as they arise.

Mechanical & Testing Responsibilities

Experience and Technical Skills:

Ability to operate forklifts, tractors, augers, conveyors and fully equipped service truck(s)
Ability to operate mechanical measurement/test equipment and prototype tool/fixturing is essential.
Ability to read blueprints considered an asset; applied work experience strongly preferred.
Forklift and/or Overhead Crane Operator certificates will be considered an asset but is not required; in house on-site training will be provided to those who require it
Welding experience is must.

Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, and the ability to work well with others internally and externally.
Detail oriented with demonstrated product knowledge and a strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent problem solving skills
Organization and time management skills
Computer skills required

Working Conditions:

Job duties are performed in the production environment both inside and outside the facility.
Regular exposure to variations in heat, cold, dust, controlled chemicals, and various pieces of production equipment.
Long periods of standing; moderate amounts of walking and the periodic requirement of lifting materials over 50 lbs.
Travel up to 50% of the time, and overtime required.
