Main Duties include:
Provides support to the Accounting team staff by reviewing account reconciliations, proactively looking for efficiencies and automation by reviewing current procedures for continuous improvement.
Prepares monthly account reconciliations for various accounts and various month end entries and reclassifications.
Prepares monthly financial statements and reports and quarterly reporting to the bank.
Prepares capital variance report, expected final capital, identifies variance from budget, and distributes reports to management. Ensures adherence to capital budget through the monthly analysis of capital purchases vs. budget and the reporting of variances.
Prepares monthly department operating expense actual vs. budget analysis. Responds to managements questions or problems with variance analysis, expense accounts, statements, etc.
Prepares fixed cost operating expenses budget and assists in annual capital budget.
Prepares weekly digital box and modem forecasts, prepares purchase orders, communicates with suppliers and negotiates pricing. Prepares monthly forecast for paper stock for billing invoices.
Competencies for Success:
Diploma or Degree with a major in accounting, with 5 years of experience.
Advanced experience in Excel
Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task efficiently and meet deadlines.
