Description

We want you!  A highly motivated, team-oriented EMS professional interested in working in a dynamic, busy, north rural/remote EMS operation. We are currently seeking community-minded individuals to fill two permanent, full-time positions with our EMS service. The incumbent plays an important role as part of the PBCN Health Services inter-professional health care team providing pre-hospital care for patients. In the course of their work, they will collaborate with other emergency medical personnel, physicians, nurses and other health professionals.  

PBCN Ambulance is located in the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation community of Pelican Narrows in north-east Saskatchewan. The service area has an estimate population of 7000 and includes the communities of Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, Deschambault Lake, Jan Lake and other locations along Highway 165 (Hanson Lake Road).  Accommodation will be provided at the crew base. Transportation from Prince Albert to Base in Pelican Narrows is provided.  

Qualifications:
    Hold a practicing license through the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) and be in good standing;
    Valid Class IV drivers license and submission of a clean drivers abstract;
    Must provide an acceptable Criminal Records, and Vulnerable Sector Check;
    Working knowledge of the legislation, protocols, and scope of practice as applicable to EMS practitioners within the Province of Saskatchewan;
    Ability to work to the required full scope of practice;
    Must be willing and able to complete training as determined (CPR, TLR, ITLS);
    Be physically fit and able to perform EMS duties.
