Family Wellness Program Supervisor
Permanent position

Monday to Thursday (30 hours per week)

Reports to and accepts direction from the Program Coordinator and Executive Director.

The Al Ritchie Family Wellness Centre is seeking a early childhood program supervisor for participative program for parents and caregivers and their 0-6 year old children for a permanent position.

The facilitator will work at the Al Ritchie Family Wellness Centre creating a learning rich environment for families including drop-in periods and scheduled programming
- Organize and facilitate age appropriate play based learning
- Continue with collaborative working relationships with community partners and integrate their professional expertise into the programming offered,
- Maintain the physical space ensuring appropriate and adequate resources are available,
- Provide families with information and linkages or referrals to outside agencies when required.
- Awareness of issues relevant to inner-city communities
- Culturally sensitive
- Working with children and community profile (lone-parent families, grandparents as sole caregivers, & aboriginal lifestyles)
- Experience in resolving conflict and dealing with a wide variety of behavioral traits
- Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR B (minimum)
- Police check that includes Vulnerable Persons Act
- Ability to offer services in both official languages
