Description

Quint is a dynamic community-based organization dedicated to fostering sustainable development and positive change in Saskatoons core neighbourhoods. Our team is passionate about creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for the neighbourhoods we serve through our work in affordable housing, employment, and social enterprise.  We are seeking a dynamic Outreach Worker for our social enterprise programs which employ individuals facing barriers to employment such as previous contact with the justice system, housing insecurity, lack of education and experience, etc. This position works to support the crew and develop strategies to reduce personal or professional barriers in the lives of our participants.


Duties:
Work with crew members to identify and achieve personal and professional goals.
Recognize and address barriers through solution-focused interventions.
Maintain case files for ongoing follow-up.
Participate in crew onboarding and intake processes.
Identify community resources, education, and training opportunities.
Collaborate with senior staff to create a training program tailored to crew needs.
Develop transition plans for participants exiting the program, focused on employment or education.
Build networks with local stakeholders to enhance transitional opportunities.
Occasionally transport crew members as needed.

Skills:
Ability to build trust and relationships with diverse populations.
Empathetic, non-judgmental, and patient approach.
Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and track/report data effectively.

Education & Experience:
Understanding of poverty and employment barriers for marginalized groups.
Extensive knowledge of community resources.
Familiarity with Harm Reduction practices.
Experience in human or social services is an asset.

Conditions:
Valid drivers license, access to a vehicle, and a Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check required.
