Saskatchewan Association for Safe Workplaces in Health (SASWH) is an established safety association united by a common mission to guide the health-related industry in the elimination of workplace illness and injury. SASWH works collaboratively with healthcare workers, employers and unions in Saskatchewan to bring to life our vision of workplace health and safety: a priority for all.
Workplace Safety Specialists play an imperative role in the Association by establishing contact with SASWH members and providing guidance and support to identify their health and safety needs. These needs are then addressed through the delivery of engaging and informative safety training programs, the review/implementation of a Safety Management System, and effective application of legislated safety principles intended to protect, promote, and maintain the health and safety of their workplaces.
The ideal fit for this role will be a reliable health and safety professional who shares our organization's values of transparency, collaboration, commitment, innovation, respect, trust and stewardship.
This is a field hours position. Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's license, current driver's abstract from SGI to demonstrate a safe driving record, full vaccination for COVID-19 and a clear criminal record check are required. Travel to employers' premises and other meeting places throughout the province is common and will often require overnight stays of one to four nights.
