Regina Apostolic Church and Storie Manor are looking for a full-time facilities maintenance person to join our team.

You do not need to have all the skills up front, as long as you are willing to work hard, follow instructions and learn the position. We are willing to teach and mentor you as you work.

The position entails a significant amount of medium to strenuous manual labour involved with building maintenance and repair, set-up and teardown of tables and chairs, moving snow, yardwork and other maintenance or custodial activities.

The work occurs at both the Regina Apostolic Church and Storie Manor so it has a great degree of interaction with people ranging from children to seniors. People skills are essential as well as a true desire to serve and minister to people as you work.

Valuable assets are a basic knowledge and skillset in a variety of areas including:
       commercial building operations
       painting and drywalling
       minor electrical and plumbing systems and repairs
       general building/household repairs and maintenance
       mechanical aptitude
       an understanding of HVAC principles
      scissor lift work (limited work - training provided)
      crawl space work (limited work)
       maintenance of plants and landscaping
       ability to operate or learn to operate powered equipment such as lawn mowers, riding tractors, scissor lifts, weed trimmers, leaf blowers, power tools, chainsaws, and others.
       a driver's license and clean drivers abstract
       janitorial skills

You must be able to provide a criminal record check.

Job Details:
37.5 hour work week
Work every third Sunday
Wage - negotiable based on experience
Earned vacation and sick days
Full benefit package.
