Description

We are currently seeking a Intake Worker to join Kawacatoose First Nation and in developing the Nahkahteyimiwewin Child and Family Service programs prior to entering into coordination and agreement discussions. This position will be under the supervision of the Kawacatoose Director of NCFS and will receive direction and guidance from the NCFS Director, Chief and Council and the Nahkahteyimiwewin Child and Family Services Board Members.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
    Assist with data entry of client files.
    Assist with collection, maintenance, and distribution of Nahkahtayimiwewin Child and Family Services statistical information.
    Assist staff with coordination and preparation of materials for meetings, workshops, training sessions as required.
    Receive & route calls to appropriate team members.
    Updating client case files with new information.
    Filing of forms, documents, letters as required.  
    Sending appropriate documents to other agencies.
    Requesting supporting documentation.
    Keep clients up to date with information and decisions that affect them.
    General administrative duties.
    Liaison between family and Coordinators.
    Advocate for client needs.
    Assist with case conferencing between worker and clients.
    Other duties as assigned.
    Coordinate referrals, support and provide guidance to prevention clients.
