Description

The Saskatchewan School Boards Association (SSBA) is seeking a permanent full-time Executive Assistant. This position is responsible for senior event planning and executive administrative services for the SSBA. Responsibilities include coordinating and overseeing logistics for all Association events, including the Fall and Spring Assemblies, Board Chairs Councils, Trustee Academy and a wide range of internal and external committee meetings and seminars. This position is also tasked with serving as the primary Executive Assistant to the Association'ss Executive Director, preparing correspondence and reports, coordinating meetings and booking staff travel and other administrative support to ensure Association services are provided in an effective and efficient manner. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Services.

Typically, the knowledge skills and abilities required for this position are obtained through successful completion of a certificate program from a recognized Business College coupled with related experience providing administrative support to senior level management and/or administration. Knowledge of procedures and practices to ensure effective and efficient preparation and organization of documents, materials, staff schedules and calendars of events is essential. Proficient skill in the use of a computer including Office 365 (email, calendar, word processing, spreadsheet), data management, and other internet-based software and updating websites is required.

The SSBA offers a competitive salary with health benefits, pension, and professional development opportunities. The salary range is $53,592 to $84,753. The SSBA has a flexible work-from-home policy allowing this position to work from home and working from the SSBA office at least one day a week.
