Description

Al-Baaqi Child Care Centre is seeking a Director for its proposed childcare centre. To establish the centre, the successful candidate will have to start from scratch. We are specifically looking for candidates with ECE level III and at least 5 years of experience as an Assistant Director or 2 years of experience as the Director of any childcare centre. Wages are based on the candidate's experience.

Shift: Monday  Friday, 9am  6pm (In a special case, the director may need to attend meeting on the weekend).
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Education/Business
Level 3 Child Care Certification
First-Aid and CPR certification
Proven knowledge and experience about local, provincial and federal laws about governing a childcare and preschool.
Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector check

Skills:
Strong organizational, public relation, communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Leadership experience in a Child Care program
Able to develop and implement rules and policies.
Experienced in handle entire budget and financial management of childcare and preschool.
Able to accept diversified clients.

Responsibilities:
Implement policies and procedures, develop mechanism to run the center effectively, assure compliance, complies with provincial legal requirements like Employment Standard Act, Occupational Health and Safety, Sexual Violence and harassment Action Plan Act etc.
Assist the Board to develop vision and strategic plan to run the centre, attend Board meeting; present all internal and external issues that may affect the organizational goal.
Assist the Board to develop new policies and implement policies on behalf of the Board.
Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization.
