Summary:
The Bylaw Enforcement Officer, under the direction of the Director of Lands & Infrastructure, will primarily be responsible to prepare, review, manage, and/or edit various forms of correspondence.   This role requires maintaining a presence on reserves to ensure consistent monitoring and enforcement compliance with all Zagime By Laws and Community policies including Community Standards, Environmental Standards, Property Standards, Noise, Animal control, as well as other By Laws enacted by the Zagime Leadership.  Enforcement and monitoring shall consist of patrols, evidence gathering, inspections, making recommendations and preparation of necessary documents, as well as acting as a liaison between the general public and Zagime.
Duties:
-    Must possess the ability to adapt to new technology and ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
-    Maintaining a presence on reserves, you'll ensure consistent monitoring and enforcement compliance with all Zagime bylaws and Community policies, including community standards, environmental standards, property standards, noise, animal control, as well as other bylaws enacted by Zagime Council.
-    Enforce bylaws through patrols, evidence gathering, inspections and the preparation of necessary documents, as well as be a liaison between the public and Zagime.
-    You'll also focus on education and awareness through public interaction and work with community members towards voluntary compliance on cases that involve complex dynamics.
-    Possess strong interpersonal skills and be savvy in dealing with conflict resolution in a First Nation environment.
-    Operation of desktop computer and peripherals.
-    Medically and physically fit to work in all weather conditions (cold, hot, rain, etc.)
-    Interaction with employees, management, and the public at large.
-    Working in an office environment and outdoor onsite.
-    Attendance and conducting of presentations.
