Description

Quint is looking for a full-time experienced Maintenance/Repair Helper to assist with building repairs and suite turnover. This position will assist the maintenance team lead with the upkeep of Quint owned property by carrying out general maintenance and repair tasks to provide a safe affordable living environment.

Funding Requirements: This position is funded through a program aimed at supporting career development for younger individuals.  We encourage applicants under 30 years of age to apply, however we welcome all interested candidates who are passionate about the role and meet the qualifications.

The successful candidate will:
oComplete physically demanding tasks relevant to the position
oBe a strong team member and good communicator
oWork independently and take personal responsibility for assigned tasks and deadlines
oFollow direction and work within established procedures
oHave an understanding of Saskatoons core neighbourhoods, and the issues facing individuals and families on low incomes
oHave a wide range of skills, with experience in trades, residential construction, and a general knowledge of building maintenance
oSome experience in construction or related trades  

Duties include:
oDrywall, painting, door installation and repair, flooring installation, basic plumbing tasks (drain cleaning and repair, faucet and toilet repair,) building and grounds maintenance

Skills and Qualifications:
oAttention to detail, high quality of work and finish
oDemonstrate understanding of building systems
oStrong problem solving
oAdherence to building code regulations, safety and fire protection, safe use of power tools and equipment
oMechanical aptitude
