Description

The La Ronge Regional Housing Authority (LRRHA) is currently recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in La Ronge.

Reporting to the Manager of La Ronge Regional Housing Authority, this position is responsible to:
-Manage the day to day operations of the maintenance programs for the Housing Authority
-Provide leadership and supervision for the maintenance workers
-Tender and oversee contracted work to ensure work is completed to standard
-Develop and deliver an effective preventative maintenance program

Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Knowledge of the basic techniques employed in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
-Experience in estimating, materials purchasing, accounting and budget preparation
-Ability to promote positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
-Experience leading a team, supervising, planning, and coordinating employees and works tasks

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 education, basic computer skills (Word, Outlook and Excel), supplemented with some post-secondary in business or technical/trade training (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) plus 5 years experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination is required
-Self-motivated with the ability to handle stress, while prioritizing workloads and respecting peoples diversity and individual differences
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-Ability to organize and participate in an on call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
-A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an enhanced (vulnerable sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
Air and overnight travel, as required
