Description

NorSask Forest Products is a sawmill owned by the Meadow Lake Tribal Council (MLTC). We produce high-quality SPF stud lumber sold in Canada, the United States and overseas. This position is responsible for operating power unit/semi trailers to safely move logs and wood products within the NorSask mill site, as well as to other nearby facilities.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Moving logs within the NorSask site
Transporting oversize logs to other facilities
Transporting wood chips to other facilities
Trip Inspections
Coupling/uncoupling different types of trailers
Safe loading/unloading and cargo securement

QUALIFICATIONS
-Must be 18 years of age or older
-Valid Drivers class 1A License with clean abstract
-100% committed to safety through words and actions
-Willingness to work any shift, including graveyards
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work alone or as part of a team
-Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including working/driving in rough terrain, bending, climbing, exposure to a variety of temperatures, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent entry/exit of vehicles
-Prior manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred
-Must possess a valid PDIC and clean abstract for log haul
-Previous experience hauling logs
