Wappel Construction is looking to hire a Form Setting-Working Foreman.
Tasks such as setting up forms for concrete pours, basing, and tying rebar. Interpreting blueprints, supervising a team of workers, ensuring safety compliance, documenting progress reports and daily hazard assessments. Managing project timelines. operating equipment is an asset.
We would ideally be looking for a journeyman carpenter and/or someone with 10-15 years experience in concrete work and form setting. Familiarity with construction tools and equipment, ability to read and interpret blueprints, and any relevant certifications.
Skills required for the job include: Strong leadership and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a construction team.
Safety Awareness: Construction sites can be hazardous, so it is crucial for the foreman to prioritize and enforce safety protocols. Any prior safety training is an advantage.
We offer a complete on boarding plan to help the new foreman integrate smoothly into our construction team. This includes training on company policies, safety procedures, and project-specific requirements. A tablet is provided for safety, progress reports, and time sheets.
