Saskatoon Public Schools Requires A:
BRIGHTWATER ASSISTANT (TEMPORARY 0.5 FTE)
September 16, 2024  June 27, 2025


Under the direction of the Brightwater Coordinator, the Brightwater Assistant will work to support the development and delivery of on-site programs that will increase student understanding of nature and the human responsibility to sustain it.  The position will also support the Brightwater Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the Brightwater site.
The successful candidate will have grade 12 or equivalent standing plus completion of post-secondary education in biology, bioresource management, or a related field.  Consideration will be given to applied land-based experience such as life on the trapline, rangeland management, etc. The successful candidate will have one-year previous related experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to engage students and teachers. The successful candidate will hold a valid drivers license and own an operative vehicle. Wilderness First Aid training will be considered an asset.
