Description

Provide superior customer service to our supply chain partners. You will operate as part of a team to safely and efficiently transload propane, butane, other chemicals, and lumber as well as operate a fertilizer warehouse. This position includes performing manual labour in most job tasks.  

Responsibilities & Requirements
Transload liquid propane gas, other chemicals, and lumber
Understand and follow standard operating procedures and policies
Operate railcar loading systems and equipment (railcar transloader, railcar mover)
Operate loading and unloading systems in a fertilizer warehouse
Operate various powered mobile equipment on site (skidsteer, forklift, loader, etc.)
Accurately complete necessary documentation and equipment inspections
Perform general duties within the facility, including but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and other general housekeeping
Willing to work a schedule with rotating shifts, overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies
Must have the ability to work safely, communicate well and perform in a team environment
Comply with company safety policies and procedures
Any other duties that may be needed to help drive the success of Northgate

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.

Physical Requirement
Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at heights
Willing to work outside in inclement weather
Can lift, push, pull at least fifty (50) pounds
In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)

Qualifications
Read, write, and understand English
Basic math skills
Computer skills (light data entry)
Valid Drivers License
Must be 18 years of age.
