Description

The Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance is looking for experienced, respected, and motivated law enforcement professionals to fill the role of Enforcement Officers. The Enforcement Officers will conduct a variety of investigations into PST compliance, possession and sale of illicit tobacco, misuse and diversion of tax-exempt fuel, as well as other provincial tax offences.  The successful candidates will also be responsible for intelligence gathering and surveillance, property/product seizures, summary offence ticketing, and have a working knowledge of court processes. Priority areas of focus for enforcement are PST and tobacco tax.

We currently have five Revenue Enforcement Officer positions based in Saskatoon, Regina, Swift Current and Prince Albert.

Working conditions include some shift work, extensive travel with overnight stays away from headquarters, conducting searches in confined spaces, climbing ladders, stairs, equipment, and truck tankers.

The successful candidate will:

- Interpret and apply applicable federal and provincial statutes/regulations and policies, programs and agreements relating to taxation;
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, plan, organize and prioritize work activities;
- Ability to liaise/interact with other individuals/agencies to obtain, exchange, and or confirm information, and establish partnerships; and
- Ability to identify, assess and resolve issues and conflicts with people such as violators, complainants, and stakeholders.

To qualify for this position, you will have completed an accredited Police Academy, College, or RCMP recruit training program and have practical experience in enforcement.
