Responsibilities
-Support the Site Superintendent in the day-to-day operation of a residential construction site.
-Have a good understanding of the build.
-Manual labour tasks, such as snow removal, moving framing materials and general clean up on the site and buildings.
-Minor framing tasks, such as adding blocking, shimming, setting exterior doors, etc.
-Heavy lifting may be required, such as moving temporary walkways and small heaters.
-Duties may vary depending on previous work experience.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
-Guide and mentor the site labourer.
-Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports.
-Pickup/ deliver and load/ unload materials and move materials to the work area.
-Assist with the preparation of modular units prior to craning including the use of power tools.
-Maintain the cleanliness of the job site.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
-Experience with residential construction (multi-family considered an asset) is required, 13 years minimum.
-Hard-working, organized, and self-driven; able to work independently and as part of a team with limited supervision at times.
-Knowledge and experience with various carpentry/ construction skills.
-Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
-Strong leadership and communication skills.
-Must have a valid driverss license and own reliable transportation.
-Should have the ability to use basic power tools and be able to lift up to 50lbs.
-Preferred if have some personal basic tools.
-Must own a pair of steel toe work boots.
Salary will be determined depending on experience.
