Description

The Executive Director is the principal officer of the organization, responsible for strategy development, administration, financial management, and branding for the District, reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors, and overseeing a budget of $500,000+.

Strategy Development and Execution:

Collaborates with the Board to establish strategic plans and priorities.
Develops and executes detailed action plans.
Monitors progress and adjusts strategies as needed.
Leadership and Administration:

Leads staff and volunteers, including hiring and performance management.
Ensures efficient day-to-day operations.
Supports the Board by organizing effective meetings and managing correspondence.
Keeps bylaws, policies, and procedures updated.
Manages databases of key stakeholders.
Financial Affairs and Risk Management:

Oversees financial management, reporting, and purchasing.
Prepares the budget for Board approval and addresses any unanticipated expenditures.
Marketing, Stakeholder Relations, and Communications:

Builds relationships with District Members and key stakeholders, including local politicians and community organizations.
Acts as the organizations spokesperson, handling media, public, and member inquiries.
Represents the BID at community events.
Oversees marketing programs and social media presence to maintain a strong brand.
Organizes and supports events that enhance vibrancy and economic impact within the District.
Advocacy and Policy Oversight:

Identifies and addresses policies affecting the District, focusing on municipal issues.
Collaborates with political and administrative personnel to advance the organizations interests.
Works with members and community associations to bolster the organizations brand.
Preferred Qualifications:

Degree or certificate in business, public administration, marketing, city planning, or a related field.
Proven leadership experience with a focus on collaboration.
Financial acumen
