RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works in collaboration with colleagues to innovate, organize, coordinate, develop, and deliver first-rate professional learning opportunities for schools that further the mandate and goals of the program.
Develops effective strategies to build deeper understanding of TEA program mandate and goals with/for a variety of audiences and stakeholders with a focus on improving student learning outcomes in numeracy and enhancing teacher capacity for numeracy instruction and assessment.
Provides high quality leadership for a variety of initiatives with a focus on, but not limited to, numeracy and literacy.
Successfully engages and assists a variety of stakeholders in their understanding of curriculum, learning strategies, assessment strategies, and data in numeracy and literacy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of provincial Mathematics/Literacy curriculums.
An understanding of best practice in special education in pre-k - grade 12 school systems.
Highly organized, confidential and sensitive to community, school and student data and information.
Ability to organize and manage a variety of tasks, including emerging and time sensitive tasks
Ability to foster genuine trusting relationships with staff, families and communities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Education degree
A valid Professional A Saskatchewan Teachers Certificate
Pre-K 12 classroom teaching experience
