Description

Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) is seeking a Director Facilities and Security to lead the Facilities and Security team. Reporting to the Vice-President, Organizational Effectiveness this position will lead a team overseeing all aspects of building functions, including security, functionality and efficiency.  This position is responsible for developing frameworks, plans and programs designed to effectively support business needs while ensuring a secure and well-functioning environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

Accountabilities
    Annually, develop and manage functional KPIs, work plan and supporting resource and budget plan. Ensure adherence to budget and procurement practices  
    Attract, retain, and develop a competent and capable Facilities function.
    Develop, implement, and maintain relevant policies and procedures aligned with business goals and objectives for efficient facility operations
    Coordinate and manage delivery and performance of external service providers for building maintenance, facility related capital projects and security resources
    Develop and implement security protocols, access control and emergency evacuation plans based on robust risk assessments to mitigate risks related to physical security
    Manage and monitor the appropriate inspection plan for all routine and non-routine maintenance of all building systems across SRC locations to address issue promptly and ensure business continuity and operability
    Develop and maintain space plans to ensure business needs are adequately met and balanced with cost implications.
    Develop and deliver on project plans, budgets and time-based deliverables through effective collaboration and communication with relevant stakeholders.  


Qualifications
    A bachelors degree in business, business, engineering, or a related field. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
