Description

Under the direction of the Health Director, the medical van driver will be responsible for providing the community with medical transportation services. The duties of the medical van driver include the following:
-Working with the medical transportation clerk and other staff members, organize in the most efficient fashion the medical transportation needs of residents that qualify for the service
-Transport residents to the closest health care professionals
-Ensure that the Certificate of Medical Attendance is completed for each client and that the Medical Transportation Report Form is completed daily
-Maintain regular vehicle maintenance
-Work as a team member with other staff members
-Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
-Must be knowledgeable with the Band's and FNIHB's medical transportation policies and advise clients of the policies
-Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information
-Prepare all necessary reports
