The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Infrastructure Support requires 1 competent Journeyperson Carpenter to provide construction and renovation services in various locations and communities throughout the province. These positions will be located in Regina.
Under the general direction of the supervisor, you will utilize your skills, knowledge and abilities gained through your Journeyperson Carpenter technical training and on-the-job experience as you construct, repair, maintain, alter and/or renovate structures/buildings/offices both internally and externally in various locations. You will also fabricate, install and maintain interior/exterior doors, fire doors, windows, wall panels, cabinetry and other miscellaneous items the client needs.
You will be required to work independently or as part of a team, ensuring customer needs and project assignments are completed promptly, safely and efficiently.
As a successful candidate, you know the theories, principles and practices related to the carpentry field and knowledge of occupational safety standards supplemented with several years of related trade experience. To qualify for this position, you must possess and be able to produce a valid Journeyperson Carpentry Certificate and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
Travel will be required.
