The Yellow Thunderbird Lodge-Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services is seeking Family Aide(s) for the NFH &VS Prevention Units. These positions will report to the Area Program Manager(s) and will provide administrative and transport support services to the YTL-YTCCFS Inc. staff and clients. The Family Aides are to reduce the barriers clients experience from accessing services.
Qualifications:
1)Grade 12 with eighteen (18) months office experience OR
2)Early Childhood Education Certificate Level I or II
3)Certificate in the area of Office Management and twelve (12) months experience OR
4)Diploma in the area of Office Management
5)Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Must be willing to lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to sign a Non-Disclosure and Oath of Confidentiality.
Knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child and Family Support Act, Child and Family Service Act, ISC Child in Care Policy Saskatchewan Region Manual, and Provincial Childrens Service Manual.
Commitment to the principles of prevention, preventing children from entering care, reunification of children, and family preservation.
Knowledge of the Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux Culture and the political and social objectives of the YTL-YTCCFS Inc. member First Nations.
Must have excellent oral, written and time management skills.
Updating the client case files with new information. Filing of documents, letters, and forms as required,
Assist the staff in the coordination and preparation of materials for meetings/workshops/training sessions as required.
Support to family who may have various appointments.
Support to family to allow them to participate in confidential Mental Health Therapist appointments.
Will be required to provide childcare during family programming.Will plan,organize,and initiate age-appropriate activities for children.Will provide age-appropriate supervision of child(ren) according to the needs of the child.
