Description

The File Hills QuAppelle Tribal Council is a dynamic and progressive organization that provides a range of programs and health services which serve eleven First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory. The position is based at the All Nations Healing Hospital, located in Fort QuAppelle, SK.

Reporting to the Director of Health & Safety and working closely with all programs of FHQTC Health Services, Departments of FHQTC, the Nations of FHQTC including the community health centers, and the entities of FHQTC including ANHH, RTSIS, Silver Sage, etc. This position is responsible for effective implementation of the Infection Control Program and Continuous Quality Improvement Initiatives.

Responsibilities
    Develop and maintain a system of identifying and reporting nosocomial infections
    Identify and investigate outbreaks of acute care infections
    Develop and maintain infection control policies and procedures
    Work with and advise programs, departments, and entities regarding infection control
    Implement and maintain an effective continuous quality improvement program which supports a culture of safety within the FHQTC including Health Services and the Nations of FHQTC including the entities
    Participate in accreditation and work with departments and community health programs to implement accreditation quality practices into daily operations.
    Participate in the orientation of new personnel and the staff training program
    Provide guidance and support to Environmental Services Department, Medical Device Reprocessing and the Occupational Health and Safety Committee

Qualifications
    Bachelors degree in a health-related field and licensed with their governing body
    Training and recent experience in Infection Prevention and Control
    Supervisory experience
    Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work within First Nations Traditional and Spiritual Institutes.
    Must possess a valid drivers license
    Current CPIC
