Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Settlement Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial support to newcomers, helping them navigate the settlement process and integrate smoothly into the community. The ideal candidate is passionate about community service, is culturally sensitive, and possesses excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Register new participants
Provide settlement services within the designated catchment area, including travel if necessary.
Conduct one-on-one meetings with newcomers to discuss settlement needs, identify resources, and develop personalized settlement action plans.
Follow up with clients to assess progress, adjust plans as needed, and document their development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community service providers and stakeholders.
Refer clients to provincial or federal immigration offices as necessary.
Offer tailored services based on clients' needs, locations, and availability.
Provide newcomers with relevant information and referrals to community resources.
Ensure service accessibility through phone, internet, social media, and in-person interactions.
Offer guidance on employment-related topics and connect clients with specialized employment services.
Develop a consistent needs assessment and referral process.
Establish efficient protocols for accessing services in collaboration with other organizations.
Maintain up-to-date information on available community resources.
Promote services offered by all providers equally and fairly.
Facilitate meetings between service providers and clients as needed.
Respond to overseas pre-arrival referrals with a welcome email.
Maintain accurate records for planning, monitoring, and evaluation purposes.
