This position involves providing support to 39 residents with Complex Needs, and will have a caseload of 10-11 McEwen Manor residents. In this position, you will be working under the direction of the McEwen Manor and CLSD Program Manager with the goal of providing case management and everyday support services. This can include but is not limited to things such as taking residents to appointments, shopping, meal preparation, social/recreational activities, facilitating educational groups, and assisting with budgeting, monthly reporting, conducting assessments and compiling annual Wellness Plans.
Additionally, they are responsible for providing one-to-one counselling, in the areas of mental health cognitive strategies, personal safety strategies, goal setting, problem solving, problematic substance use, relapse prevention, etc. Shift work required. Must have a valid drivers license.
This position is a full-time/permanent position that includes day and evening shifts. These shifts will be discussed with potential candidates.
Post-secondary education required in a related field (psychology, sociology, human justice, Social Work).
