Description

The YMCA of Regina is a non-profit charity open to all. We are dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. We focus our program delivery on our three pillars of service: health and fitness, community development, and childcare.

The Leadership Development Coordinator will work collaboratively with other staff members and program participants, to deliver program lessons and facilitate physical activity sessions to YMCA program participants. Creating and maintaining healthy positive relationships with program participants.

Role & Responsibilities:
* Receive and manage program registrations.
* Plan and facilitate group sessions for youth and to create a warm, welcoming, and fun group environment.
* Maintain a strengths-based approach that inspires participants to engage in self-development & change.
* Follow up with parents / guardians to give program updates and complete post program evaluations.
* Organization of data for evaluation of program, weekly program data inputting,
* Meet the program outcomes set by the funders of the program
* Ensure the safety of all members, participants, staff, and property by following YMCA standards/ policies/ procedures.
* Strategize with community partner to create meaningful programs for children 6-18
* Create program content and facilitate Boys Empowerment programming

Job Requirements:
* Experience working with youth ages 6-18
* Empathy, understanding and peer support skills
* Working will include evenings (one per week) and possibly weekends
* Youth worker certificate or equivalent would be considered an asset.
* Valid class 5 driver's license
* Criminal Record Check prior to first day of work and dated no more than 3 months before hire date.
