Reporting to the Director, Policy and Legislation, in this position you will:

- Identify public safety policy issues, conduct research, assess policy alternatives, and make recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and lead research projects, strategic and operational policy reviews, and implement policy changes.
- Identify best practices and track trends in public safety to refine and enhance SPSA programs and initiatives.
- Ensure legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines, contracts, and frameworks align with the SPSA mandate.
- Undertake and manage projects and initiatives.
- Lead external consultations and engagements with stakeholders.
- Develop briefing materials, decision items, and presentations for SPSA executive leadership, the SPSA (Ministerial) Board, Cabinet, and Treasury Board.
- Offer strategic advice and recommendations to the Manager, Strategic Policy, and the Manager of Privacy Information Management.
