Description

The Little Peoples Learning Lodge is currently accepting applications for the Part-Time Cook/Nutritionist position.  This individual will be punctual, hardworking, dependable, and motivated to provide nutritious snacks and lunch for the children daily.

Job Summary:
Perform all cooking and baking duties to ensure that all children receive healthy and nutritious home-cooked meals and snacks. Daily sanitization of kitchen, and all appliances is required, ensuring clean and sanitary cooking and food prep area.

Roles & Responsibilities:
    Maintain an organized and sanitary work area.
    Food preparation ensuring proper portions per child
    Knowledge of exceptional food nutrition preparation
    Assist development of the monthly meal plan
    Maintain a daily & weekly cleaning schedule for kitchen appliances
    Maintain an organized and sanitary work area for facility
    Report any maintenance problems and/or required supplies to the Coordinator
    Other duties as may become necessary from time to time

Qualifications:
    Ability to work independently and within a team environment
    Willingness to learn on the job and take training as required
    Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships within the centre
    Ability to work in harmony with staff & students
    Punctual, motivated to go above and beyond the expectations
    Ability to maintain professionalism and interact professionally with staff, parents and visitors at all times
    Ability to work in a team environment in a friendly and peaceful manner
    Organization skills and time management skills
    Valid First Aid Certification and CPR Certificate
    Current Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)

Requirements:
    Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
    Valid Drivers license and reliable transportation, satisfactory abstract
    Three prior employment references

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:45AM - 12:45PM
