As the Executive Assistant in the Design and Construction Division at the Ministry of Highways, you will report directly to the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM). You will be an integral member of the Deputy Ministers Office, working closely with others in the ministry on divisional and ministry-wide priority projects.
You will draft and review internal and public documents, including referrals, briefing materials, reports, and presentations. You will spend approximately one third of your time supporting the Project Support Offices procurement processes. You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines. It will be critical that you develop and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You will consistently demonstrate our core values of showing respect and integrity, serving citizens, excellence and innovation, and acting as one team.
Our ideal candidate would typically have any of the following:
- relevant experience, and/or
- a degree in business, public administration, project management, engineering, or public policy.
You will have knowledge of:
- Legislation and regulations; and
- Government protocols, policies and procedures including decision making processes.
