The Water Security Agency is seeking a temporary Financial Accountant to join the Financial Operations team.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Financial Operations, an employee in this job will assist with and provide nancial processes and procedures to support the organization using professional discretion and condentiality while operating in a timely and ecient manner. Duties and responsibilities will primarily focus on processing and/or reconciling accounting transactions, processing payments, preparing routine to moderately complex reports and documentation, and maintaining nancial systems. The employee will audit input; prepare reconciliation working papers; compile and communicate nancial information to internal and external users; assess transactions for applicable taxes, accuracy, and adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.

The Candidate will respond to inquiries and provide guidance in an eective, ecient and courteous manner including assisting in identifying and resolving problems and communicating any issues or concerns to the Manager.

The selected candidate will have working knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and accounting systems, concepts and practices and knowledge of public sector accounting standards and procedures in the crown sector and work well in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
The candidate will have a diploma in Business Accountancy and 3 years of directly related experience. This role is subject to a satisfactory criminal record check.
