Description

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible to the Board for implementing the vision and mandate of the organization.  The ED provides leadership in identifying priorities and objectives, directing staff, supporting programs and committees and ensuring CMHA PAs financial and organizational viability.  The ED is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.
Key areas of accountabilities include:
Leadership
Financial and risk planning & management
Community engagement,
Marketing and resource development,
Operational management, and
Human resource management.
The successful candidate will have:
A degree or relevant work experience in business, human resources or finance
Strong business acumen with three(3) or more years of experience in management, preferably with non-profit organizations
Knowledge of leadership and management principles for non-profit organizations
Proven success working with a board of directors
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Experience in managing budgets
Entrepreneurial mindset, with innovative approach to business planning
Dynamic and charismatic team leader who enjoys being the public face of an organization
Management style exemplified by integrity, respect, consultation and empowerment
Eligible to work in Canada legally
Relevant work experience in the human services area is an asset
Knowledge of service delivery and program administration, especially in the field of mental health is an asset and has the Ability to work with vulnerable clients
Experience in public relations, marketing and fundraising is an asset
