Description

The Ministry is seeking an enthusiastic, creative individual with a strong background in data analytics for the position of Senior System Data Analyst in a one-year term.

As a Senior System Data Analyst, you will provide analytic work to support a more unified, strategic approach to analyze, capture and disseminate data improving decision making at all levels of the health system. Analysis of your work will lead and inform improvements and evaluation of health system outcomes. As a part of the Ministry of Health you will work as part of a team and various health system partners.

The ideal candidate will:

- Be an experienced professional, preferably, having financial, business systems analysis, and/or clinical research work experience.
- Have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and be a strategic thinker with strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Have knowledge in SQL, Microsoft Power BI, Qlik Sense or similar data analytics tools.
- Have knowledge in low code platform such as Microsoft Dynamics and/or application administration / system configuration experience will be considered an asset.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to be successful in this position would be obtained through the completion of a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or Business Administration, or the completion of an applicable information technology and/or business analyst certification, along with several years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
