SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Kahkewistahaw First Nation is developing their Family Services Program. The First Nations Representative reports to the Director of Family Services. First Nations Representative will support families and/or individuals mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.  
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will work directly with the Family Services Team to support families in legal and prevention situations
Serve as a liaison between KFN and external organizations, agencies, and government bodies.
Advocate for the families and/or individuals involved in court proceedings.
Represent Kahkewistahaw First Nation at community meetings, forums, and negotiations with external organizations and government agencies.
Promote family and/or individual participation in programs and services.
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that address community needs.
Coordinate with various departments and agencies to ensure programs are culturally relevant and effective.
Maintain records of all activities, meetings, and consultations.
