Description

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Financial Services, this position is responsible for the advancement and management of the accounting functions and reporting for the Workers Compensation Board. The position is also responsible for the recruitment, training and development of accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial analysts. The Manager, Financial Reporting will serve as a key advisor to external stakeholders regarding the Workers Compensation Boards financial position and ensures the organizations compliance with relevant accounting standards.

An accounting designation (CPA) and an applicable university degree (Administration, Commerce, Business) and relevant experience.

Over five (5) years successful experience demonstrating the ability to do the following:
    Experience providing leadership, guidance and support to a diverse team.
    Analysis of financial information.
    Computer skills especially in the area of personal computer-based applications such as Excel, Word and the internet
    Knowledge of the Oracle Financial system.
    Prepare concise and accurate reports, containing applicable recommendations where necessary.
    Strong oral and written communication skills.
    Excellent interpersonal skills
