Description

Duties Include: General maintenance of municipal infrastructure and equipment. Gravel street maintenance, and small amount of pavement patching. Parks maintenance, tree trimming, grass cutting, etc. Assist with hydrant flushing,curb stop?s on/off, culvert installation, replacement of pumps and winterization of sump stations, assist contractors with access to lift stations, etc.

Mandatory Skills: Exceptional work ethic, time management skills, interpersonal skills, follow through, progressive thinker, problem solving skills, & effective communication. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, experience insnow removal, ice control, etc. Preference given to those with equipment experience preferred, ie: skid steer, back hoe, etc. Knowledge of water distribution and waste water collection. Willing to start education towards level 1 water treatment certification.

Other Requirements: Valid Class 5 drivers license and a current criminal record check. Three references must be submitted with resume.

Regular hours of work, Monday to Friday, with a weekend rotation in our water treatment plant, flexible schedule, must be available for on call emergencies.
