Canadian Public Safety Operations Organization (CanOps) is a not-for-profit organization focused on advancing public safety for all Canadians from coast to coast. CanOps is seeking an IT Application Analyst for the Provincial Emergency Communications Center with experience in the Public Safety sector.
Requirements:
-A Diploma/certificate in a related IT field & 5 years of related experience is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, & experience may be considered.
-Working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, IP Networking, Windows Server platforms, MS-SQL Server
-Visual Studio, C++, C#, JavaScript, .Net, PowerShell
-Experience working with modern scripting & development toolsets.
-Strong written & verbal communication skills, meticulous & dependable.
Responsibilities:
-Assist in the design, implementation & support of the enterprise applications within the operating environments of both corporate & emergency communications centre in CanOps, as well as Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) to ensure current policies match operational guidelines.
-Act as 2nd level system application support for software systems, aiding Technical Services with application support issues.
-Help assess current technological trends & determine organization/agency needs in order to lead the ongoing introduction of new technology & processes
-Design, develop & support in-house applications & databases used to support specific needs within the work-units.
-Aid in the design, support & implementation of Hexagon & Versaterm Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) modules or systems.
-Other duties as assigned
