Description

The Battlefords Housing Authority (TBHA) is currently recruiting a Tenant Services Coordinator to join their team for a 2-year (24 month) term.  If you have proven problem-solving skills, work well in a team environment, and have a desire to provide exceptional service to tenants in the community, this position will be of interest to you!

Reporting to the Tenant Services Manager, this position is responsible to:
-Conduct income reviews and calculate rent or adjustments
-Explain leasing agreements, expectations of tenancy, and investigate potential lease violations
-Coordinate and complete move-in and move-out procedures with tenants, including inspections and processing related documentation
-Conduct initial home visits with new and existing tenants
-Assist with and/or perform procedures pertaining to tenant hearings in conjunction with the Office of Residential Tenancies

Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Experience working with seniors, families, and at-risk individuals is required
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships while maintaining strict confidentiality
-Liaise with community agencies and service organizations and act as a resource for tenants on information/referrals to local health, social, and recreational service providers
-Self-motivation, demonstrated accountability, and a high degree of professionalism/diplomacy

Qualifications:
-Certificate or diploma in Human Services/Administration and at least 2 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination is required  
-Proven expertise using Microsoft Office products
-Team player with exceptional client relations skills
-Demonstrated ability to problem solve, manage conflict and stressful situations
-A valid driver's license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
