The successful candidate is responsible for developing, delivering, managing and evaluating Saskatchewans vehicle equipment and safety standards, vehicle inspection programs and Saskatchewans commercial carrier safety, policies and procedures for the Auto Fund (AF).
Monitors and manages the performance of external vehicle inspection stations and commercial carriers to ensure the safety programs, policies and procedures are regulatory compliant. Interprets, administers, evaluates and recommends changes to applicable legislation and regulations.
Key Accountabilities

Program/Policy Development and Support (Vehicle Inspection Program; Vehicle Equipment and Safety Standards; Carrier Safety Audits & Monitoring; National Safety Code Program)
- Provides advice and expertise to senior management and the
Ministers Office on commercial carrier and vehicle safety policy,
programs and strategy.
- Researches emerging trends, analyzes and interprets data, identifies
and recommends opportunities for improvements and changes.
- Maintains ongoing communication with internal and external
stakeholders.
- Performs financial analysis, including preparing cost-benefit
matrixes and monitoring program costs.
- Assesses the privacy impact of programs and policies and prepares -b
privacy impact assessments (PIA).
