The Water Security Agency is seeking a Director, Hydrological Science, to join the Science and Knowledge unit in our Moose Jaw, Regina or Saskatoon office.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Science and Knowledge, an employee in this job will oversee the Hydrological Sciences unit responsible for the operation and maintenance of WSAs hydrometric network and database; forecasting stream flows and river and lake stages; operation planning for major provincial water systems; and provision of professional engineering services in the areas of hydrology, watershed modelling and hydraulic analysis of rivers, lakes, and reservoirs.
This employee will provide expert professional engineering guidance and leadership in the development, implementation and on-going monitoring of associated programs and activities and will oversee the delivery of associated services undertaken by a group of professional engineers, engineering technologists and other support staff.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering or related discipline preferably with a masters degree in Hydrology or Hydrogeology; ability to obtain and maintain P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS); and 10 years of progressively more responsible directly related experience.
