Description

The George Gordon First Nation is seeking a motivated and professional individual to work with the Treaty Status people residing on the George Gordon First Nation. This position is for the Labour Force Development & Pre-Employment Support Programs to assist clients to move forward in life through training and employment development.  The Client Case Worker will work under the direction of the LFD/PES Coordinator and will be responsible for maintaining administration functions, and client case worker duties. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, greeting clients and visitors, receiving calls, entering data, filing, processing mail, drafting correspondence, arranging meetings, recording minutes, prepare funding requests and proposals and working on an individual bases with clients through the client case management process.
REPORTS TO LFD/PES Coordinator
Qualifications    Business administration diploma OR a Grade 12 Diploma or GED and previous client case worker or employment counselling experienceStrong knowledge of administrative and financial regulations and proceduresExperience using various computer programs including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent writing skills with the ability to write and format moderately complex correspondenceStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Strong client service skills and professionalismSuperior time management, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.Strong organizational and coordinating skillsPublic speaking abilities to effectively facilitate presentations to large groups for information sessions, resume preparation, and other related employment engagement activitiesAbility to develop and maintain basic databases and filing systemsMust be able to maintain confidentialityKnowledge of First Nations values, culture, traditions, and governancePossess valid driver license and reliable vehicleMust provide a clear CPIC
