Description

Lake Lenore Co-op is hiring a Full-Time Agronomist.

What youll do:
Demonstrate day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and brand
Provide agronomy services through soil sampling, field scouting, showcase equipment and complete regular follow-up calls
Provide information and recommendations for crop inputs and fertilizer, develop on farm strategies and application options
Keep up to date on crop inputs, disease and insect issues, and agriculture tech
Sales of crop inputs, fertilizer and farm equipment through the development of customer and supplier relationships
Work with reps/farmers on trials for new products
Utilize and promote FCLs digital ag platform AgZone
Load and deliver products sold by the Lake Lenore Co-op Ltd.
Assist with fertilizer blending
Assist with inventory control, ordering and data reporting through in house programming
Install signage to promote Lake Lenore Co-op and their offerings
Be familiar and adhere to all Lake Lenore Co-ops policies, procedures, and standards, including safety, environmental and asset protection/loss prevention
Other duties as assigned

Who you are:
You have a degree or diploma in Agriculture or Agribusiness
Professional certifications (CCA, PAg) or working towards is an asset
You have a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant agriculture experience
You have a valid Class 5 Drivers license
Strong agricultural background in sales, accounts management, and agronomy
You are honest and trustworthy, team-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do
You possess excellent communication and customer service skills
