Description

The Ministry of Energy and Resources (ER) develops, coordinates and implements policies and programs to promote the growth and responsible development of the province's natural resource industries. ER operates as the primary regulatory authority for the oil and gas industry and ensures competitive royalty systems, regulations and policies for all natural resource sectors.

The Regulatory Affairs and Analytics (RAA) branch of the ERD is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented and analytical individual for the position of Manager, Regulatory Affairs. Reporting to the Director, Regulatory Affairs and Licence Management, the position oversees RAA's Regulatory Affairs unit, which leads legislative and regulatory development, oversees stakeholder engagement and undertakes policy, program and organizational support activities on behalf of the ERD.

As the manager of Regulatory Affairs, you will be part of a team dedicated to achieving regulatory excellence in support of the responsible development of Saskatchewan's non-renewable mineral resources, applying risk-based approaches to complex issues to support the ERD's mandate.

Typically, the knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position would have been obtained through:

- Completion of a graduate degree in public administration, the social sciences/humanities, economics, business administration, engineering or a related field combined with several years of relevant work experience;
- Management experience; and
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan's natural resource industry would be an asset.

Candidates are asked to clearly describe in their cover letter and resume where they have acquired the knowledge and the skills required for success in this position. Candidates will be screened on the basis of this information.
