Pro Metal offers, plasma, laser and waterjet cutting, CWB and AWS Welding, CNC machining and Powder Coating.
The Accountant works closely with the Financial Controller to ensure that timely and accurate financial reporting, forecasting, cash management and controls is provided. DUTIES: Preparing cheques, account coding, posting invoices, preparing deposits, journal entries, reconciliations, petty cash, etc. Liaise with project staff and support them in bookkeeping needs related to their program areas. Complete all payroll functions. Assist in year-end reports and assist with preparation for audits or independent reviews. Complete monthly reconciliation for general ledger accounts. Assist in the setup and maintaining the accounting procedure documentation and manual. Maintain up-to-date, complete, and systematic filing system to support book-keeping and financial records. Prepare statistical and accounting information for the Controller in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization. Assist in preparation of the budget and financial forecasts. Responsible for Federal, Provincial, payroll, and other applicable taxes. Provides back up for Purchaser. Previous experience in a metal fabrication industry an asset. Bachelors degree in related field. Working towards CPA designation.1-3 years experience. Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and accounting software; accounting principles and financial regulations.
