THE POSITION:
The role of the Post Majority Care Navigator is to support and assist First Nation youth up to and including 25 years of age who are aging out or have aged out of the Child & Family Well-being system by identifying current need and resources to help transition into adulthood. The position will be assigned to work with a member First Nation to facilitate the successful completion of the project deliverables and objectives. The Navigator will provide assistance and guidance to member nations and youth to identify and build resources/services, develop plans and report on processes/standards to ensure positive outcomes and a smooth transition of services with respect to applicable Post Majority Support Services terms and conditions, child and family services legislation, regulations and policies/procedures. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with other STC departments and teams and develop effective working relationships with community stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the project. The Navigator will be supervised by the Post Majority Care Manager. The position and the Post Majority Care Project will conclude March 31, 2025.
